Hi, I’m Debbi, the eye and heart behind Back Roads Lens. Ever since I was a kid, I was rarely seen without a camera in hand—capturing every family road trip, candid moment, and scenic overlook I could. What started as a childhood habit has grown into a lifelong passion for storytelling through photography.

After a successful career in the corporate world, I made the decision to slow down and realign with what truly lights me up—travel, nature, and capturing the moments that often go unnoticed. Together with my husband, I find joy in taking the roads less traveled—those winding backcountry routes, forgotten towns, and quiet corners of the world that often go unnoticed. We’re explorers at heart, always chasing the beauty of the unexpected and the serenity of nature.
